AI ROBOTIC TALK & NETWORKING
On 29/11/2024 Tagore Business Association (TBA) hosted AI/Robotic Talk & Networking.
This event was held at it’s member ASSURICHs’ premises.
More than 40 guests from different sectors attended including Mr Loh, Kerun Baru CC chairman & Mr Ng HH , PBM grassroots of Thomson constituency.
The event was also beamed on line with more than 30 participants from ASEAN attending, who were keen on the subject of AI/Robotic.
The Chairman of TBA, Mr Phillip Seah, in his opening address said the aim of this event is to bring together AI/Robotic manufacturers, businesses and institutions of higher learning to pool their resources to enhance the presence of an AI/Robotic Hub in Tagore estate. All SG Enterprises should take this GREEN initiative of Robot, Energy & AGV (in short R.E.A) to further drive these programs in moving forward.
Mr Seah mentioned about celebrating the 10th Anniversary of TBA in Feb 2025 with presentation of long serving awards and invitations extended to some public figures who pioneered the start up of TBA.
In his capacity as CEO of Assurich Industries, Mr Seah also touched on some key trade missions he had undertaken to China, mainly Guangzhou, Qingdao, Chongqing, Shenzhen to name a few with regard to collaborating further with Chinese AI/Robot and AGV manufacturers. The last being a mission accompanying over 50 research students and Professors from SMU to Guangzhou where Mr Seah facilitated factory visits in Guangzhou for the academia to interact with Robot/AGV factory personnel.
Also present at the event were academia from Temasek and Republic Polytechnic’s where they extended their institution’s keenness in partnering businesses to evolve a holistic approach to workplace learning and excellence.
Many good business links were created at the event, both with like minded business as well as in harnessing the Polytechnics’ role in creating partnerships.
Rounding up the event, there were 3 key manufacturers from China, namely GSK, Jaten and ASW to provide further insights to their robot product features.
The event bridged the partnership between some key China manufacturers with ASEAN businesses and local public institutions of higher learning. TBA hopes to be the catalyst in triggering more such events.
